It was so much fun doing model shoot. They are not just ordinary models but gorgeous models!Sometimes I feel sorry for them because there are about 18 photographers and all of us what them to do different things at once, but they were so professional and great to work with. Poor Taylor was freezing on the day of the shoot wearing the wedding gown. Did I mention there was still snow on the ground?
Another important note that I took from the workshop is the importance of having model shoot and the day after shoot. It’s very important for me to be able to create imagery that pop and most likely unable to create on the day of the wedding. The couple is usually stressed out and often not have enough time for photo shoot, so the day after session is the way to go because: 1) have the whole day for posing in a stress free environment, 2) can go to places are truly beautiful and not restricted to only few miles from the wedding site, 3) a lifetime of memory!
I will implement the day after shoot and also trash the dress session into my pricing soon, I hope this will encourage potential clients to go places that I always want to go for photo shoot, such as Yosemite, Carmel, Yellow Stone, Zion National Park..and maybe Paris??

Lakisha and Rochard had the cutest wedding that I have seen by far! The wedding was all about fun– poka-dots galore; from the invitations, ribbons and down to Lakisha’s toes. I was so impressed with Lakisha’s decor that I spent almost half an hour just to photograph all the details at the reception hall, and felt like I did not have enough time to photograph everything. I especially liked the yellow themed candy bar filled with different kind of candies, and the handmade candy boxes as wedding favors. I hope the photos have captured the fun, loving moments this couple will cherrish for a lifetime.
Stay tuned for more….
