It was such an honor to have Chatti from Savady Photography shooting with me for Lisa and Stephen’s wedding. It was so much fun shooting with her and I’m so grateful that she came all the way from Denver to help me out.
This was our first time meeting Lisa and Stephen since they booked me over the phone without a formal meeting. It was a lot of fun to photograph their wedding especially with Lisa’s looong elegant veil. I was really impressed that she had 3 other dresses to change into during the reception. Chatti and I had the best vendor meal ever! We were having a traditional 10 course Chinese banquet meal, just like the rest of the guests. And the crazy part was there were only 3 people sitting at our table, which was meant for 10 people, so we pretty much had unlimited food like shark fin soup, lobsters, fish, sea cucumber with abalone etc etc..It was just awesome!
Stay tuned for more!!!

Fiony is my friend from high school/college and we used to have dance classes together. I have not seen her in almost ten years since I moved to LA for school and by the time I moved back to the Bay Area, she’s already moved back to Hong Kong. One thing that I could not forget is that she loves to make Japanese cookies from her Japanese cookbooks, although she could not understand Japanese, she was smart enough to figure out from the Kanji and the step by step pictures.
We had so much fun at this photo shoot/photography talk. I’m so looking forward to seeing her again in Hong Kong later this year!

I finally had a chance to play with my brand new radiopoppers this last weekend. Jeff put Charlie on a stool and lured him with yummy doggy treats so that he wouldn’t jump off as easily. I like the fact that I can adjust the output of every single slave on my camera and it makes things much simpler. I had problem with the firing rate originally but it improved significantly after switching to channel 4 per manufacturer recommendation for canon users. I also like being able to use TTL whenever I want to, although I would still prefer to set everything on manual so that I can get consistent results. The two pictures below are taken with one Canon 580 EX II slave with homemade cardboard snood along with radiopoppers.
