SF Sutro Baths Embarcadero Engagement | Maria + Brad

What a beautiful day! With so much rain falling around the Bay Area, I met up with Maria and Brad at the Cliff House in San Francisco for their Engagement Session. The sun was coming out through the clouds and it was a really good day for a shoot. Maria was really excited was willing to take a little bit of a hike so we hiked down to the Sutro Baths by the water line. I could tell that Maria and Brad were really in love since Maria was able to get Brad to get a little dirty during out shots. Unfortunately the sun started to hide and the winds picked up so we moved down to the Embarcadero/Ferry Building.

With the sun still out we got a little closer to the water by heading out to the pier. Along the way my husband Jeff and Brad were swapping stories about food in New York. After they were done talking about pastrami sandwiches, I had Maria and Brad get a little romantic and we got some really great pictures. We took a little break until the sun was going down and got some really nice pictures outside of the Ferry Building. I’m really glad that Maria and Brad were still just as excited at the end of the engagement session as they were at the beginning. Looking forward to seeing you soon for your wedding!

San Francisco Engagement : Olivia + Michael

We met up with Olivia and Mike for their engagement session at the de Young Museum in San Francisco on a surprisingly non rainy day! Everyone was in a really good mood despite the cold winter day and we took some quick pictures before the sun went down. Both Olivia and Mike were really easy to work with and they seemed so natural at posing for me. Their dog Chico on the other hand took a little work but for a senior dog he did a great job.

After finishing up some shots around the de Young Museum, it was time to have Chico take a nap while we finished up the rest of the session at the Embarcadero. Olivia and Mike did a quick change and we headed out to the pier behind the Ferry Building. They both got romantic in front of the bridge for me and we got some great shots. We did a really cool session in the middle of the Embarcadero. From there it was a quick jaunt over to the Embarcadero Center Plaza and did a few more shots before calling it a night. Both Olivia and Mike were great sports for letting me do a few different things as the night went on. Looking forward to seeing them again soon!

San Francisco Union Square Engagement Photography| Mariel + Manny

On a beautiful evening in San Francisco, I met up with Mariel and Manny to photograph their engagement session at Union Square before we’re all headed off to Cancun for their fabulous destination wedding! I never met Mariel and Manny until then but they were super cool and nice. We started with a few shots at the park across the street from Macy’s before the sun went down. Later after most of the tourists went away, we went into some of the side streets and got some really cool shots. Enjoy!

San Francisco Engagement : Winnie + Thomas

With summer fast approaching it was nice to leave the East Bay and come down to Chrissy Field in San Francisco to start the engagement session for Winnie and Thomas. There were a lot of people around Chrissy Field but Winnie and Thomas both knew a secluded area not too far from the Golden Gate Bridge where we could start out. They both had a cute nervousness around them but it all disappeared after we went into the super cold water of the bay. Needless to say, we didn’t last too long in the water but we got some great photos a few minutes later when they got to jump around! Winnie and Thomas were having such a cute time doing different poses while jumping around. We took a quick detour over to the Presidio where Thomas said that there was a great areas for urban shots. There were a bunch of old brick buildings that looked like old military bunk houses. I kept asking Winnie and Thomas to look at Jeff during the shots and there was a lot of joking around. I think that Winnie and Thomas were really having a really good time joking and laughing around at this point. I know for sure that on their big wedding day it will be super fun!

We then moved down to the Ferry Building since the sun was starting to go down and it was getting super cold down by Chrissy Field. Winnie really wanted to get a photo of her and Thomas having coffee through the window so we snuck into the Starbucks where they had their first date, and got a few shots in before anyone noticed. Thomas was so nice to buy me a hot apple cider while I was prepping the shot like a ninja. I think that may be my new favorite non coffee drink from Starbucks.

Anyway, after we got our shots in at Starbucks we moved down to the Ferry Building. Winnie and Thomas did a quick change and we went outside to get some night shots. I asked Winnie and Thomas to start dancing in front of the Ferry Building Sign and they started up. Jeff brought out his iPhone and started cranking out some music which made them start to really get into the dancing! After a few songs we wrapped up and took our final few sets in front of the Bay Bridge.
