I’ve been wanting to blog about Jackie and Josie’s family photos for a while, but I held them back until I figured out how to use my new projector to show them off to their family in Alamo. One of the cool things about bringing over the projector and laptop is that if someone was thinking about ordering a canvas for the wall, they can figure out what size looks good as well as what picture works best for them. In this case, the children portraits that we put up on the wall really turned out well. I could tell that it was hard for their mommy to figure out what looked best to put up.
I have been the family photographer for Jackie and Josie for about 2 years now. In fact the only place that I photograph them is in their backyard in Alamo. Although the background doesn’t change much over time, Jackie and Josie have grown up so quickly every time I see them. I always enjoy photographing children because they never know how to pose, and I always want to photograph their true, innocent moments. I remember the first time that I came over to took their pictures. It was a really nice sunny day and everyone was in a happy mood. They have an orange tree in their backyard and we ended up using some oranges as props. I think that Jackie enjoyed grabbing the flowers from the flowers near the house and using them as props. I think Josie wanted to do that too but she only started to walk a little a few days ago.
Taking photographs of children and families is something that I love and I really like the thought that I can document their childhood through it. I sincerely hope they will cherish the photos when they grow up.
