Golden Gate Park Engagement :Kimberly & Choy : Tease Part I

It was such a beautiful day at the Golden Gate Park last Sunday. A little chilly and windy at the beach but still a perfect day for engagement session for such a lovely couple. We had originally scheduled the engagement session back in February but needed to postpone few times due to the rain. It’s particularly nice at the Dutch Windmill this time of the year when the tulips are blooming. I always wanted to go see the tulips but because they only bloom for about three weeks in a year, I was never able to make it, until this past Sunday.

Kimberly and I were bonded right away when we first met because all three of us have attended Oakland High School at some point in our lives, and it definitely has brought back memories. They have been dating since high school and they are still so in love after so many years.

I also had a chance to play with my brand new Canon 5D mk ii, which I have been anxiously waited for few weeks from Adorama because of the wait list despite the economy, people who love photography like me couldn’t resist to get the hottest toy in the industry. All of the pictures on this post have none to minimal photoshop work done, and I have to say this camera rocks! The picture quality is superb and the images are super crisp.

Jeff and I will bring Charlie down to LA tomorrow because Jeff’s grandpa passed away last week. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the funeral because I have a wedding on the same day so I’ll come back earlier.

Chicago Destination Engagement Photography : Khin & Myo : Slideshow

I have been super busy lately with my grandma’s recent hospitalization and crazy work schedule. I literally felt like a working machine because all I did last week was work, sleep, and work again. I was trying to go to bed as early as possible when the start times of my work schedule advance from 12 noon to 8 am then 6 am, so it left me with very little time to do my editing, because I do require minimum of 8 hours of quality sleep to stay sane.

Thanks again to Khin and Myo for having us at Chicago! Jeff and I really had a wonderful time! Also congratulations to Khin for the acceptance of her residency at Chicago and Myo not having to leave such a wonderful city.

Gourmet Chocolate

and Yesterday I received a box of chocolate from my clients Nicole and Kurt. They are the owners of Glarus Gourmet Inc. which manufactures chocolate and cocoa products in the bay area. I was so excited about the chocolate when I saw the email Nicole sent me. I was a huge chocolate fan but have cut back in recent years because I was getting fat, but dark chocolate is actually good for you because it’s rich in flavonoid, which is a potent antioxidant. It can lower blood pressure but with much less sugar than mild chocolate so weight gain is less of a concern. Gourmet dark chocolate is also much more expensive than M&M’s so you won’t overindulge.

The chocolate is absolutely delicious! In fact the dark  chocolate with roasted coffee beans in the bag is the best that I’ve had. It’s the perfect natural antidepressant we all must have after a stressful day from work. I can’t wait to see Nicole and Kurt again on their wedding day in July so that I can thank them in person for the super yummy chocolate!
