Fremont Palmdale Estate Wedding Photography : Marin & Patrick

What appears to be my final wedding for 2008 was at the quaint grounds of Palmdale Estates in Fremont.  Despite having heavy rain on Saturday, the wedding day was clear and perfect on Sunday!  Although the original wedding flowers were supposed to coming after the wedding, the replacement calla lilies were just exceptionally gorgeous! Marin and Patrick are one perfect couple made for each other. Best wishes to both of them!

I believe I posted too many first dance pictures, but I love them so much so I decided to post more!

Testing the radiopoppers

I finally had a chance to play with my brand new radiopoppers this last weekend. Jeff put Charlie on a stool and lured him with yummy doggy treats so that he wouldn’t jump off as easily.  I like the fact that I can adjust the output of every single slave on my camera and it makes things much simpler. I had problem with the firing rate originally but it improved significantly after switching to channel 4 per manufacturer recommendation for canon users. I also like being able to use TTL whenever I want to, although I would still prefer to set everything on manual so that I can get consistent results. The two pictures below are taken with one Canon 580 EX II slave with homemade cardboard snood along with radiopoppers.

Danville Children Family Photography : Thea

It was raining really hard as I was driving to the park to meet Andy and Thea. I was wondering why it has not been raining for months and it rained all of the sudden? Anyway, I was glad that it stopped raining about 10 minutes after waiting in the car, and I would really hate to cancel the photo shoot because of the weather since Andy and Thea were coming all the way from Sacramento to Danville for it.

I have found out that I really like to photograph children. It’s not as stressful and involve much less planning than photographing weddings. Being able to catch the innocent moments was just priceless. I was so excited when I first uploaded the pictures onto my computer and I could not wait to tell Andy how well the pictures came out.
