Bay Area Strobists is a Flickr group that has meetings every 1-2 months. I was glad that I was able to join the group and gain some hands on experience in studio lighting. We had the meet up at Mike’s studio in Fremont, where he has tons of studio lighting equipments for the strobists to play with. Sonia and Keith has never been to Half Moon Bay. In fact they have never been to Northern California before, but somehow they decided to get married in Half Moon Bay, with their families and friends from Germany and Maryland. I was very impressed with Sonia’s wedding planning skills, as she has done most of the plannings in Germany. I was shocked when I received her call from Germany and we have chatted for almost 30 minutes, and just booked me over the phone!
It was a lovely intimate wedding next to the beach, although I don’t know anything about the German culture, except the famous Oktoberfest, I feel honored to have a chance to photograph their wedding, and their guests from Germany and the east coast… Welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area!
