Half Moon Bay Oceano Hotel Wedding Photography

It was a beautiful day in Half Moon Bay for Devin and Richard’s wedding at Oceano Hotel Spa and Resort. I did a really awesome engagement session with them in San Francisco a few months ago.  It was great to see them again.  Devin looked absolutely beautiful! Her dress and shoes were so elegant.  I loved all of her accessories.  Devin and Richard chose to tie the knot on the beautiful Montara State Beach off Highway 1. Their vows were very touching and hilarious at the same time.  It was so cute to see Devin laughing and having a great time with Richard in front of all of their family and friends.

The reception was informal yet elegant. The flowers are gorgeous and the cake was beautifully design. I almost thought the sugar flowers on the cake were real!  One of the really cool things was the live band.  Really cool tunes and the food was really good.  All of the guests were having such a good time that I wish I had more than just the night to photograph the wedding.  Above it all it was just good to see the same loving look between Devin and Richard that I saw a few months ago for their engagement session.  Truly a love that will last a lifetime and beyond.

This is my last wedding for the year as Jeff and I expect the arrival of our first baby in about 7 weeks. Thank you Devin and Richard again for this opportunity and I’m honored to document your beautiful wedding.

San Mateo Marriott Wedding | Maria + Brad

It was my pleasure to photograph Maria and Brad’s wedding at the San Mateo Marriott. The weather was perfect and Maria looked absolutely beautiful. I’m so glad that with the weather was cooperating on such an important day!  I’m really grateful that Alfred could help me as my second shooter since it’s been a little difficult to photograph in an ‘artistic’ way with my 6 months pregnant belly.

When I first arrived at the Marriott, I went up to see Maria.  She was already in her wedding gown and all the bridesmaids were ready for the wedding. Everyone was so excited and the flower girls were so cute. I love how Maria coordinated using yellow and purple flower bouquets which really worked well with the bridesmaid dresses.

One of the best moments of the wedding was when Brad said his vows which were so powerful that Maria cried.  This just shows how true love can bring people together now matter the distance, even in this case more than 3000 miles away. Congratulations again to both of you!

Half Moon Bay Wedding | Cathleen + Kenny

We arrived at the Cypress Inn at Half Moon Bay for Cathleen and Ken’s big wedding day. There was a light ocean mist that hung around but I knew that as the day goes on, that the sun would come out. Cathleen was a little anxious but really excited about her big day. Her and her bridesmaids were getting their hair and makeup done while multitasking by being on the phone with family and friends. Ken called and Cathleen made her way over to the Hastings House to finish her preparation. Cathleen had some really cute signs that her friends put out to help the guests find their way. She became more excited as the time got closer to seeing Ken for the first time. Once the music started to play everyone got seated and the entourage made their way down the aisle. Ken looked so happy when he saw Cathleen for the first time. Their smiles were so big and I could tell that they were having the best day of their lives. With friends and family gathered around, Cathleen and Ken held hands and became husband and wife.

As friends and family went to the reception site at Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society, I took Cathleen and Ken down to the beach. They were both still really excited about the ceremony and were looking forward towards having some fun at the reception. We made it down to the beach after a little walk and started taking pictures. At one point we all almost got taken out by a wave that crept up on us. Cathleen and Ken wanted to walk down the beach before heading to Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society for a little alone time. The guests were having a great time at the reception getting drinks and taking pictures at the photo booth. Once Cathleen and Ken arrived it was time to party! One of the more emotional parts of the evening was during the father/daughter and mother/son dances. Things livened up during some really entertaining speeches from the groomsmen and bridesmaids. The big moment was when the DJ put on some retro-80′s music and Ken broke out in some Vanilla Ice moves. Truly classic! A really fun and awesome wedding that I was proud to be invited to photograph. Looking forward to seeing you guys in the future.
